Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is that the body can do amazing things if not restricted by pain, dysfunction or injury and, unlike a car, your body cannot be traded in for a new one… this is your Body for Life.

We will support you in looking after your body and maintaining or restoring it to optimal health and fitness so you can keep cycling, running, swimming, surfing and playing sport with your kids for the long term.

Why Sports Massage?

  • Reduced muscle tension and pain
  • Lengthening of specific muscle groups to improve flexibility and mobility
  • Removal of toxins and metabolic wastes to speed up recovery time
  • Improved circulation resulting in the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to your cells
  • Breaking down of scar tissue and elongation of muscles
  • Correcting problems in your body, including chronic muscular-skeletal imbalances, improved posture and joint mobility
  • Stretching of tendons to keep them supple and healthy
  • Reduced risk of sports related injuries, such as shin splints, tendinitis, plantar fasciitis and torn muscles

What is Remedial Massage?

Remedial Massage is aimed at alleviating muscle tension, improving blood and aid recovery after injury, lessens chronic pain or improves overall well-being.

This treatment also provides thorough assessment of joint and muscle movements which leads to a more effective treatment for both acute and chronic conditions.

Remedial Massage helps release tired and painful muscles, breaks down scar tissue, muscle adhesions and knots and helps to re-educate physical posture or promote recovery from injury or surgery.

Dry Needling

Great for the treatment of trigger point, myofacial pain, injury and chronic muscular dysfunction.

Based on western principals, not to be confused with the traditional acupuncture, Dry Needling can be used in most cases with equal or better effect than other manual therapies, with little or no post treatment side effects. Dry Needling is incorporated within the massage treatment.

Exercise Rehabilitation

This is specialised training, sometimes using specialised equipment, to improve an area of weakness or injury.

Rehabilitation training is working on getting the body back to its functional level of activity, which requires knowledge of physiological anatomy and an appreciation of the goals and outcomes needed to be achieved.
